Our Introduction

Women Campaign Center for Social Transformation was established in 2022 in Birendranagar, Surkhet, as a socially transformative organization committed to securing rights, opportunities, and dignity for women, Dalits, marginalized groups, and other disadvantaged communities.

Despite progress, Nepal’s social structure still faces discrimination, inequality, and unequal access to opportunities based on caste, gender, and class. This organization works community-based to address these structural issues. We believe that building a truly inclusive and just society requires collective effort, where every citizen has the opportunity for identity, capacity development, equal rights, and a dignified life.

Since its establishment, the organization has worked to reduce the gap between Dalit and non-Dalit communities, empower women, enhance social participation, and protect human rights. It also collaborates with various stakeholders to advocate for policy reforms, skill development, leadership enhancement, and social transformation through awareness dialogues.

Our Purpose

The core purpose of the Women Campaign Center for Social Transformation is to build a discrimination-free, inclusive, and just society. To achieve this, the organization focuses on the social, economic, and political empowerment of women, Dalit communities, marginalized groups, and others.

Discrimination based on caste, gender inequality, class division, and unequal access to opportunities still prevail in Nepal. The organization intervenes multi-dimensionally at the community level to address these structural problems. The aim is not limited to raising awareness but includes promoting participation, skill development, behavioral change, leadership growth, and long-term social reforms.

Some of the main objectives are:

Ending caste-based untouchability and discrimination: Reducing gaps between Dalit and non-Dalit communities through cultural dialogue, awareness programs, and collaborative campaigns.
Empowering women and marginalized groups: Focusing on leadership development, skill training, and entrepreneurship promotion to enhance social, economic, and educational capacity.
Building an inclusive and participatory society: Ensuring equal participation of all groups from policy-making to implementation by raising awareness and coordinating with local governments.
Raising awareness: Conducting community workshops, orientations, street dramas, dialogue programs, and communication materials against discrimination, violence, and humiliation.
Collaboration with stakeholders: Working with government, non-governmental, and community-level entities to advocate for policy improvements and coordinated programs.

Our Vision

The vision of the Women Campaign Center for Social Transformation is to create an inclusive, just, and respectful society where every individual—whether Dalit, woman, marginalized, or from any caste, gender, or social background—has equal opportunities, rights, and treatment.

We dream of a society where no citizen faces discrimination, humiliation, or exclusion due to their identity. We believe that equal participation, a strong voice, and dignified lives of all communities are the foundation of a prosperous nation.

Our vision is based on long-term social transformation anchored in justice, human rights, inclusion, equality, and coexistence. We want every person to live with self-respect, contribute according to their ability, and receive protection and respect from state and society.

Our Mission

The mission of the Women Campaign Center for Social Transformation is to empower socially disadvantaged, excluded, Dalit, women, and other marginalized communities, enhancing their participation and quality of life. For this, the organization implements community-based practical programs, amplifies their voices, expands access to opportunities, and leads long-term social transformation campaigns.

Our goal is not to view the community merely as service recipients but to develop them as active partners in change. Therefore, our mission is based on diverse dimensions—knowledge, awareness, skills, leadership, access, and policy. We believe that to end social discrimination, ensure equality, and achieve prosperity, communities must be self-aware, empowered, and active, and we are continuously working towards this.

The organization conducts programs on women’s leadership development, elimination of caste-based untouchability, skill development training, enhancing participation, expanding access to education and health, and policy advocacy addressing social transformation at practical and policy levels.

What We Do?

The Women Campaign Center for Social Transformation implements practical programs covering various levels and sectors for social transformation. Our main focus is empowering marginalized communities, expanding awareness, developing leadership, and ensuring their effective participation in policy-making.

We conduct programs that have direct impact in the community, expanding individuals’ capacities, self-confidence, and opportunities. Some of our key activities include:

Awareness Programs: Community dialogues, workshops, street dramas, orientations on discrimination, untouchability, gender-based violence, child marriage, and human rights.
Skill Development Training: Income-generating skills training such as sewing, boutique work, agriculture, and information technology aimed at empowering women and youth.
Leadership Development: Providing training and opportunities to enhance leadership skills among women and Dalit communities.
Policy Advocacy: Coordinating with local and provincial governments to create pressure for policies that eliminate discrimination and improve reforms.
Promoting Access to Education and Health: Facilitating access to education and basic health services for marginalized groups.
Community Collaboration: Conducting programs based on cooperation among local organizations, stakeholders, and communities.

हाम्रो परिचय

समाज परिवर्तनका लागि महिला अभियान केन्द्र वि.सं. २०७९ मा सुर्खेतको वीरेन्द्रनगरमा स्थापना गरिएको एक सामाजिक रूपान्तरणमुखी संस्था हो, जसले महिलाहरू, दलित, पिछडिएका वर्ग र अन्य सीमान्तकृत समुदायहरूको अधिकार, अवसर र आत्मसम्मानको सुनिश्चितताका लागि निरन्तर क्रियाशीलता देखाउँदै आएको छ।

नेपालको सामाजिक संरचनामा अझै पनि जातीय, लिङ्गीय र वर्गीय आधारमा विभेद, असमानता र अवसरको पहुँचमा असमानता विद्यमान छ। यस्ता संरचनात्मक समस्याहरूको समाधानको लागि यो संस्था समुदायमै आधारित भएर कार्य गर्दै आएको छ। हामी विश्वास गर्छौं—साच्चिकै समावेशी र न्यायपूर्ण समाज निर्माण गर्न हामी सबैले मिलेर काम गर्न आवश्यक छ, जहाँ हरेक नागरिकले आफ्नो पहिचान, क्षमताको विकास, समान अधिकार र गरिमापूर्ण जीवन पाउने अवसर प्राप्त गरोस्।

संस्थाले स्थापना कालदेखि नै दलित र गैरदलित समुदायबीचको दूरी घटाउने, महिलाहरूलाई सशक्त बनाउने, सामाजिक सहभागिता बढाउने र मानवअधिकारको संरक्षण गर्ने विविध कार्यक्रमहरू संचालन गर्दै आएको छ। साथै, विभिन्न सरोकारवाला निकायहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्दै नीतिगत पैरवी, सीप विकास, नेतृत्व अभिवृद्धि, तथा जनचेतनामूलक संवादहरू मार्फत सामाजिक रूपान्तरणको अभियान अघि बढाइरहेको छ।

हाम्रो उद्देश्य

समाज परिवर्तनका लागि महिला अभियान केन्द्रको मूल उद्देश्य विभेदरहित, समावेशी र न्यायपूर्ण समाजको निर्माण गर्नु हो। यो उद्देश्य हासिल गर्न संस्था महिलाहरू, दलित समुदाय, पिछडिएको वर्ग तथा अन्य सीमान्तकृत समूहहरूको सामाजिक, आर्थिक र राजनीतिक सशक्तिकरणमा केन्द्रित भएर काम गर्दै आएको छ।

नेपालमा अझै पनि जातीय छुवाछुत, लिङ्गीय असमानता, वर्गीय भेदभाव, तथा अवसरको पहुँचमा असमानता विद्यमान रहेको छ। यस संस्थाले यस्ता संरचनात्मक समस्याहरूको समाधानका लागि समुदायमै आधारित भएर बहुआयामिक हस्तक्षेप गर्दै आएको छ। उद्देश्य केवल चेतना फैलाउनुमा सीमित नरही, जनसहभागिता, सीप विकास, व्यवहारिक परिवर्तन, नेतृत्व अभिवृद्धि तथा नीतिगत सुधारमार्फत दीर्घकालीन सामाजिक परिवर्तन ल्याउनु पनि हो।

यसका प्रमुख उद्देश्यहरू यस्ता छन्:

जातीय छुवाछुत तथा विभेदको अन्त्य: दलित र गैरदलित समुदायबीचको दूरी कम गर्न सांस्कृतिक संवाद, जनचेतनामूलक कार्यक्रम, तथा सहकार्ययुक्त अभियानहरू सञ्चालन गर्नु।
महिला तथा सीमान्तकृत वर्गको सशक्तिकरण: महिलाहरूलाई सामाजिक, आर्थिक र शैक्षिक रूपमा सक्षम बनाउन नेतृत्व विकास, सीप तालिम र उद्यमशीलता प्रवर्द्धनमा ध्यान केन्द्रित गर्नु।
समावेशी र सहभागितामूलक समाज निर्माण: नीति निर्माणदेखि कार्यान्वयनसम्म सबै वर्गको बराबरी सहभागिता सुनिश्चित गर्न जनस्तरमा सचेतना र स्थानीय सरकारहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्नु।
जनचेतना अभिवृद्धि: भेदभाव, हिंसा र अपमानजनक व्यवहार विरुद्ध सामाजिक जागरण ल्याउन गोष्ठी, अभिमुखीकरण, सडक नाटक, संवाद कार्यक्रम, तथा संचार सामग्रीमार्फत चेतना फैलाउनु।
सरोकारवालासँग सहकार्य: सरकारी, गैरसरकारी, र समुदायस्तरीय निकायहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्दै नीति सुधारका लागि पैरवी गर्नु र समन्वयात्मक कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गर्नु।

हाम्रो दृष्टिकोण (Vision)

समाज परिवर्तनका लागि महिला अभियान केन्द्रको दृष्टिकोण एक यस्तो समावेशी, न्यायपूर्ण र सम्मानयुक्त समाज निर्माण गर्नु हो, जहाँ प्रत्येक व्यक्ति– चाहे उनी दलित हुन्, महिला हुन्, पिछडिएको वर्गका हुन् वा कुनै पनि जातीय, लिङ्गीय वा सामाजिक पृष्ठभूमिबाट आएका हुन्–ले समान अवसर, समान अधिकार र समान व्यवहार प्राप्त गर्न सकून्।

हाम्रो सपना यस्तो समाज हो जहाँ कुनै पनि नागरिकले आफ्नो पहिचानको कारणले विभेद, अपमान वा बहिष्करणको सामना गर्न नपरोस्। हामी विश्वास गर्छौं कि सबै समुदायको समान सहभागिता, सशक्त आवाज र गरिमापूर्ण जीवन नै समृद्ध राष्ट्र निर्माणको आधार हो।

हाम्रो दृष्टिकोण दीर्घकालीन सामाजिक रूपान्तरणमा आधारित छ, जसमा न्याय, मानवअधिकार, समावेशिता, समानता र सहअस्तित्व मूल मूल्यका रूपमा स्थापित छन्। हामी चाहन्छौं कि प्रत्येक व्यक्तिले आत्मसम्मानका साथ बाँच्न पाओस्, आफ्नो क्षमता अनुसार योगदान दिन पाओस्, र राज्य तथा समाजका सबै संरचनाबाट संरक्षण र सम्मान प्राप्त गरोस्।

हाम्रो मिशन (Mission)

समाज परिवर्तनका लागि महिला अभियान केन्द्रको मिशन सामाजिक रूपमा पछाडि पारिएका, वञ्चित, दलित, महिला तथा अन्य सीमान्तकृत समुदायहरूको सशक्तिकरण, सहभागिता र जीवनस्तरमा गुणात्मक सुधार ल्याउनु हो। यसका लागि संस्था समुदायमै आधारित भएर व्यवहारिक कार्यक्रमहरू सञ्चालन गर्दै, उनीहरूको आवाजलाई मुखर बनाउँदै, अवसरको पहुँच विस्तार गर्दै र दीर्घकालीन सामाजिक रूपान्तरणको अभियान अघि बढाइरहेको छ।

हाम्रो लक्ष्य केवल सेवाग्राहीको रूपमा समुदायलाई हेर्ने होइन, उनीहरूलाई परिवर्तनका सक्रिय साझेदारका रूपमा विकास गर्नु हो। त्यसैले, हाम्रो मिशन विविध आयाममा आधारित छ — ज्ञान, चेतना, सीप, नेतृत्व, पहुँच र नीति। हामी विश्वास गर्छौं कि सामाजिक विभेद अन्त्य गर्न, समानता सुनिश्चित गर्न र समृद्धि प्राप्त गर्न समुदाय स्वयम् जागरूक, सशक्त र सक्रिय हुनुपर्छ, र त्यसैको लागि हामी निरन्तर लागिपरेका छौं।

संस्थाले महिलाहरूको नेतृत्व विकास, जातीय छुवाछुत अन्त्य, सीप विकास तालिम, जनसहभागिता अभिवृद्धि, शिक्षा र स्वास्थ्यको पहुँच विस्तार, तथा नीति पैरवी जस्ता कार्यक्रमहरू सञ्चालन गरी व्यवहारिक र नीतिगत दुबै तहमा सामाजिक रूपान्तरणलाई सम्बोधन गर्ने कार्य गर्दै आएको छ।

हामी के गर्छौं?

समाज परिवर्तनका लागि महिला अभियान केन्द्रले सामाजिक रूपान्तरणका लागि विभिन्न तह र क्षेत्रलाई समेट्ने व्यवहारिक कार्यक्रमहरू सञ्चालन गर्दै आएको छ। हाम्रो मुख्य कामको फोकस सीमान्तकृत समुदायको सशक्तिकरण, जनचेतना विस्तार, नेतृत्व विकास, र नीति निर्माण प्रक्रियामा उनीहरूको प्रभावकारी सहभागिता सुनिश्चित गर्नु हो।

हामीले समुदायमा प्रत्यक्ष प्रभाव पार्ने उद्देश्यका साथ विभिन्न कार्यक्रमहरू सञ्चालन गर्दै आएका छौं, जसले व्यक्तिको क्षमता, आत्मबल र अवसर प्राप्तिको संभावना विस्तार गर्छ। हामीको केही प्रमुख कामहरू यस्ता छन्:

चेतनामूलक कार्यक्रमहरू: विभेद, छुवाछुत, लिङ्गीय हिंसा, बालविवाह, र मानवअधिकारको विषयमा सामुदायिक संवाद, गोष्ठी, सडक नाटक, अभिमुखीकरण आदि कार्यक्रम।
सीप विकास तालिम: महिला र युवाहरूलाई आत्मनिर्भर बनाउने उद्देश्यले सिलाइ, बुटिक, कृषि, सूचना प्रविधि जस्ता आयआर्जनमुखी सीप तालिमहरू।
नेतृत्व विकास: महिला तथा दलित समुदायभित्र नेतृत्व क्षमताको अभिवृद्धि गर्ने प्रशिक्षण र अवसरहरू प्रदान गर्नु।
नीतिगत पैरवी: स्थानीय र प्रदेश सरकारसँग समन्वय गर्दै विभेदविरुद्धको नीति निर्माण र सुधारका लागि दबाब सिर्जना गर्नु।
शिक्षा र स्वास्थ्य पहुँच प्रवर्द्धन: वञ्चित वर्गहरूलाई शिक्षा र आधारभूत स्वास्थ्य सेवाको पहुँचमा ल्याउने सहजीकरण।
सामुदायिक सहकार्य: स्थानीय संस्थाहरू, सरोकारवाला निकाय, र समुदायबीच सहकार्यमा आधारित कार्यक्रमहरू सञ्चालन गर्नु।
